Odie Mae married on October 1st, 1938. They lived in Thornton, AR for many years before moving to Fordyce, and were longtime members of Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Marvin Marcus Langley; her second husband, Watt Files; a son, Robert Langley; a step-son, Wayne Files; her parents, Foster Pierce and Della Varnell Pierce; her siblings: James Pierce, Jewel Pierce, Mack Pierce, Claude Pierce, Edward Pierce, A. V. "Mutt" Pierce, Annie Wallace, and Jessie Owen.
Odie Mae is survived by her daughter, Linda Gardner of Round Rock, TX; her daughter-in-law, Sharon Langley of Katy, TX; a step-daughter, Kathryn Harris of Fordyce; her grandchildren: Cecily Rodgers (Steve) of Fort Worth, TX; David Gardner (Haley) of Round Rock, TX, Rand Langley of Katy, TX, and Stephanie Langley of Houston, TX; her great-grandchildren: Hannah Rodgers of Fort Worth, TX, Seth Rodgers of Fort Worth, TX, Jack Gardner of Round Rock, TX, and Mackenna Gardner of Round Rock, TX; her sister-in-law, Inez Langley; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral services will be held in Benton Funeral Home Chapel of Fordyce with Rev. Brian Caldwell officiating. The burial services will be held at Stoney Point Cemetery.
