He was a resident of Tensas Parish for over 60 years. He was a US Army veteran. He worked in the lumber industry for many years as a certified lumber inspector. He retired from the LA Dept. of Corrections in 1986. Mr. Warren was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Newellton. He loved reading the Bible and had read it through several times. His favorite verse was II Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
Survivors: his wife of 51 years, Lela Barfield Warren; children, Penny Hart and Connie Parker; sister, Eileen Norsworthy; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
