Linda attended Washington Grade School, Mason Junior High and graduated from Stadium High School in 1960 where she was on the Honor Roll, a member of the German Club, Sahasa Tri-Dels and was Treasurer of the Red Cross Club. She graduated from TCC in 1981 with an Associates of Arts and Science and was on the Honor Roll and President's List. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
Linda worked for Cascade Pole Company, S.L. Rowland Construction, Hanson Excavating and was associated with Johnson, Barlow & Coventry CPAs for several decades working independently as a full charge bookkeeper and cost accountant. She was a leader for her daughter's Girl Scout troop and her son's Cub Scout pack and was a Rainbow Girl in her childhood.
She was an accomplished genealogist and family historian, an avid gardener, landscaped her own yard and was very proud of her roses, rhododendrons, lace leaf maples and camelia. She enjoyed hiking in Mt. Rainier National Park, camping, traveling and loved dancing to 50's & 60's music. She spent a few weeks each fall traveling with her parents in their final years to Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Bunker Hill and other historic places. She spent time at Washaway Beach and Grayland with her parents and her niece, Katie, looking for agates and shells. Linda had a great sense of humor and a very quick wit. She was dedicated to her family and sacrificed much, working long hours to help provide for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Margaret (Terry) Schwarz. She leaves behind her sister Marsha Anderson of Parkland, brother Dr. Gary Schwarz (Cheryl) of Shelton, sister Karen Wessel (William) of Federal Way, children Cheryl Webber (Christopher) and Terry Cook, Jr. (Luanne) all of Lakewood, grandchildren Daniel Luquette of Arnold, Maryland, Shannon Luquette of Tacoma, great-grandchildren Elyzabeth Raybell, Tobias Raybell, Alexys Raybell, Darren Luquette and MacKenzie Luquette, nieces Heidi Sadler (Benjamin), Rebecca Schnabel (Aaron), Katie Hagerman (Kevin), Sarah Morriss (Jeffrey) and nephew William Wessel, uncle Richard Schwarz (Darla), aunt Elizabeth Worrell and numerous cousins.
