Service for Lois Catherine Taggart, 84, a retired Washington State University housemother, will be at 1 p.m. today at Heritage Congregational Church, E 1801 29th.
Burial will follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Taggart died Tuesday at her home in Spokane.
Born November 28, 1900 in Twin Bridges, Montana, she was an early-day Camp Fire girl there. She attended schools in Dillon and Helena for her teaching certificate and taught in Montana before coming to Spokane in 1942.
Mrs. Taggart was a Delta Delta Delta sorority housemother at WSU for 17 years, starting in the late 1950's and was a member of the sorority. She returned to her home in Spokane for summers and holiday vacations.
She was the widow of Thomas D. Taggart.
Survivors include one son, Don M. Taggart of Spokane; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Betty) Bechtold of Spokane; one brother; one sister; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
A son, Jack Taggart, died in 1982.
