Anna Gertrude Stroeing Doll

Anna Gertrude Stroeing was 1 of 3 children born to Herman and Gertrude (Roering) Stroeing on 11 May 1886. She and her siblings were born on the Stroeing family farm south of New Munich, Minnesota (Section 4 of St. Martin Township, Stearns County, Minn).

The other two triplets were Henry Stroeing and Elizabeth Stroeing. Elizabeth died the same day of her birth. The triplets were the forth, fifth and sixth of the 13 children of Herman and Gertrude Stroeing.

On 29 Oct 1912 when Anna G. Stroeing was 26 years old, she married Peter Doll, in New Munich, MN. (Note 1)

Peter and Anna Doll had 10 children. The children are:

Arthur "Artie" (1913-2008)
Gertrude "Gertie" Susan Welle(1915-2002)
Bernadine Meyer(1917-2016)
Viola Buerman(1918-1991)
Alcuin (Died as Infant) (1920-1920)
Herbert (1921-1994)

Anna Schulte (1927-2021)
Peter Paul (1930-2023)

Anna's husband of 50 years, Peter Doll, died on 5 Jun 1962 at the age of 75. After 14 years of being a widow, Anna Doll died 11 May 1976 at the age of 89. The couple is buried in St. Martin's Cemetery in St. Martin, Stearns County, Minnesota.

Note 1 - Weekly Weddings

Anna and Peter were married October 29, 1912 in New Munich and a week later, November 6, 1912, Anna's brother, Henry Stroeing, married Anna Nathe in Meire Grove, Minn.

In 1910, Mary Stroeing and Hubert Cremers were married June 7, 1910 in New Munich. One week later, on June 14, 1910, the wedding of Mary's brother, John Stroeing, to Katie Mayers took place in the same church.
