Frank W. Dolezal, Well
Known San Pierrean, Dies
The death of Frank W. Dolezal, highly esteemed resident of the San Pierre community, occurred at 6:30 o'clock, Monday morning, May 7, at the Holy Family hospital, La Porte, Mr. Dolezal had been quite ill for three weeks of a heart condition, and was confined in the hospital for one week. He was 63 years and 30 days of age.
Mr. Dolezal was born in Czechoslovakia April 8, 1888 and came to the United States at the age of one year. For 42 years he lived in the same community. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth T. Vessely, 40 years ago, in North Judson and to this union seven sons and two daughters were born.
Survivors are the widow of San Pierre; seven sons--Frank, Brookfield, Ill.; George, Medaryville; Rudolph, Kouts; Arthur, English Lake, and Norbert, Benjamin and Joseph, San Pierre; two daughters--Mrs. Mary Drzewicki, North Judson, and Mrs. Ann Krivanek, Riverside, Ill.; nineteen grandchildren; two brothers--John Dolezal, North Judson and James Dolezal, Michigan City; two sisters--Mrs. Mary Elska, Kankakee, Ill., and Mrs. Josephine Vessely, Gary, and a large number of other relatives and friends. One brother, Joseph Dolezal and two sisters, Mrs. Barbarz Zakostelsky and Mrs. Frances Krivanek preceded him in death.
Deceased was a member of Holy Name Society of All Saints church at San Pierre, and of the Catholic Order of Foresters of North Judson.
Remains were viewed at the McCormick Mortuary, North Judson from Tuesday evening until the hour of funeral services at All Saints Catholic church at San Pierre, 10 o'clock, Thursday morning, Rev. Louis Jesiorist conducted the last rites. Burial was in All Saints cemetery.
