Margaret Peter, of Mountain Top, died July 18, 2008, at the Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Margaret was born on July 15, 1922 in Highland, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Pursell Fedenecz. She lived in Freeland from 1945 to 1962.
Margaret had been an LPN in her early years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, making ceramics, reading, listening to music and doing crossword puzzles. She had been an avid walker. All who knew Margaret will miss her beautiful smile.
Margaret's beloved husband of 47 years, Ervin, passed away on July 24, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Ackerman, who died in WW II; sisters Mary Marinock, Helen Decowski, Irene Knelly and Veronica Wisdo; brothers John, Andrew and Thomas. She is survived by her daughters; Gean Ackerman Chernock and husband James, Hazleton; Linda Ackerman Scott and husband Jay; Andrea Ackerman Feist, both of Philadelphia; grandsons Christopher Feist, Philadelphia; James Feist, Jenkintown; great grandchildren Nory Vila, Nicole and Andrew Feist, Jenkintown; sister Ann (Peter) Sweeney, Drums and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private. Burial was in Freeland Cemetery and was handled by McNulty Funeral Home, Freeland.
