Victor was born on December 5, 1920, at his home in Point, LA; he died at his home in Central, LA, on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at the age of 95 after a brief illness. He was the eldest of eight children born to Ford and Ava Smith Antley. Vic graduated from Downsville High School, where he played varsity basketball and baseball. He proudly served his country in WWII as a US Navy pilot in the Pacific Theater. He retired from the State of Louisiana after having worked for the Dept. of Health and the Dept. of Corrections.
