Wayne Gene Baumgartner, 74, passed away Nov 19, 2015 at Eventide after a long illness. He was born Feb 12, 1941 to Leo & Lillian Baumgartner. He attended elementary school in Jamestown and moved to Edgeley, ND where he completed his education. He married Eunice Bedker, 4 children came out of this relationship. He worked for NDSH, coordinated emergency services for Stutsman County, was enlisted in the National Guard, volunteered at the Jamestown Rural Fire Dept, worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, and volunteered at a variety of events in the community. He later married Joyce "Jo Marie" and became step-father to 2 children.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Joyce, his children Wade (Lisa) Baumgartner, Lynchburg, VA, Stewart (Lisa) Baumgartner, Jamestown,ND and Mona (Rod) Rudland, Jamestown, ND, & step-daughter, Jo Brandenburger, Hankinson, ND.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Leo & Lillian Baumgartner, step-mother Florence Baumgartner, brother, Jack Baumgartner, sister, Shirley Wagner, son, Daron Baumgartner, & step-son Kevin Beaumont.
A private burial service was held for the family at Highland Home Cemetery in Jamestown, ND.
