While cutting timber in Lawrence county a few days ago, Isaiah Rose, who resides near Trinity, was fatally injured by having his hand crushed beneath the falling timber. He was laid to rest Monday on Trinity Mountain, having attained the age of 60 years, leaving a widow and several children.

Husband of Cornelia E. Rose. He served in Co. E of the 9th Alabama Infantry, CSA and was wounded at the Battle of Antietam.
