William (Bill) Donald Peterson, II, 78, passed away Friday Feb. 19, 2016. Bill was born in Logan, Utah to William Donald Peterson and Fawn Stewart Anderson and grew up in Logan, Fillmore, and Holladay. He graduated from Olympus High School and received both his B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.

All his adult life, Bill engineered everything from human organ shipment containers, to specialized canisters for storing spent nuclear fuel rods. He was a friend to many, always finding ways to help those in need. He loved spending time at Columbus South Salt Lake Senior Center and any chance for social dancing, especially west coast swing. His kids will always remember his sense of humor, passion for fine cuisine, and undying spirit of adventure.

He was preceded in death by both his parents and is survived by his siblings; his children and thirteen beautiful grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at the LDS Southgate Ward (2707 S. Main Street, S.L.C.) from 6-8 PM and funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 AM, followed by interment at the Logan Cemetery.
