Constance "Connie" Burrell Abrams, age 85, of Fletcher, NC, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 18, 2012.

Born October 8, 1927, in Marion, NC; daughter of the late Adam Giles Burrell (1903–1968) and Robbie Mae England Burrell (1906–1943); wife of the late Eugene Haynes (1917–1994) and George Abrams.

A writer and former owner of bookstores in Asheville and Forest City; and taught Sunday School and Bible classes for over 55 years.

Survivors include her sons, Ron Haynes (Luan) and Tom Haynes (Ann); like a daughter, Martha Dean (Arnold); grandchildren, David and Karen; sisters, Wilma Jane Burrell Fowler (1930–2018) and brother-in-law, David, Syble Hill, and Christine Smith (Jerry); and a brother, Rev. Adam "Glenn" Burrell (1939-2023) and sister-in-law, Annie Mae.

Also predeceased by a granddaughter, Tonda Haynes.

Memorial service was held at 7:00 pm, Monday, October 29, 2012, in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
