JoMarie (Joyce) Campbell Baumgartner, 78, Jamestown, ND, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, ND from heart failure.

Joyce was born February 19, 1938, in Souris, Manitoba, Canada and raised by her parents Wilbur and Dorothy Campbell. JoMarie attended school in Hillview, Ewart and Reston in Manitoba, Canada. At age 16, JoMarie was chosen as a foreign exchange student and moved to Wahpeton, ND. After high school, she attended NDSSS and achieved her LPN degree in Wahpeton. Her nursing career brought her back to Elkhorn, Manitoba, Canada.

JoMarie married Allen Boumont in 1958. Together they had two children ~ Kevin and JoLynn. Their family lived in Valley City, ND where JoMarie owned and operated 'JoMarie's Clothing'.

She was regional vice-president of Mrs. Jaycees. In 1981, JoMarie married Wayne Baumgartner. They resided in Jamestown, ND where she was manager of the Continental Lounge. JoMarie was well known and loved for her hospitality and socialization through the lounge business. She loved to talk to customers and created many lifelong friendships through her work. She was a member of the Elkettes in Jamestown. JoMarie was an avid reader, loved playing bridge, enjoyed cardinals and collecting cookbooks, was a life-long fan of Lawrence Welk, and was known for wearing high heels. JoMarie was also a 5 year cancer survivor and an organ donor.

JoMarie is survived by her daughter, JoLynn Brandenburger (Rick), Hankinson, ND, three step-children, Stewart (Lisa) Baumgartner, Jamestown, Wade (Lisa) Baumgartner, West Virginia, Mona (Rod) Rudland, Jamestown and; six siblings, all of Canada ~ Reginald Campbell (Pearl), Alberta, Vivian Kenderdine (Rick), Manitoba, Debra Raycroft (Bernie), Manitoba, Charlotte Collier (Bev), Manitoba, Rayleen Mossop (Ian), Manitoba, and David Campbell, Manitoba; five grandchildren ~Jake Brandenburger, Norfolk, VA, Nick Brandenburger, Hankinson, ND, Amber Watson, Lake Stevens, WA; Jaime Boumont, Pullman, WA, Logan Boumont, Moscow, ID; twelve step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren ~ Olivia Watson, Sawyer Watson, and Michael Boumont; and many other relatives and special friends.

JoMarie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne; her son, Kevin; two nephews, Wade Wilson and Derrick Campbell; and one step-son, Daron Baumgartner.

Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Pastor Kristi Weber officiating. A reception will follow at Shady's Restaurant at the Gladstone, Jamestown.

Visitation: 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel.

Interment: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
