Mrs. Lydia Wilson, 67, of 724 N. Broadwell died unexpectedly early Friday morning at a local hospital. Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Wilson was born Nov. 22, 1909, near Chapman in Merrick County. She was the daughter of Laurance and Bertha Baumeister Speck. When she was a child she moved with her parents to Grand Island where she received her schooling. On Nov. 1, 1933, she married William R. Wilson in Grand Island. They made their only home here. Mrs. Wilson was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grand Island.
She is survived by her husband; one brother, Erwin Speck of Grand Island; one siser, Mrs. Gladys Steel of Rockville, and one half-sister, Mrs. Ida Zlomke of Grand Island. She was preceded in death by one brother and one half-sister.
