Davis, Randall Scott, 45, maintenance supervisor, died Feb. 26. Services 11 a.m. Monday (Vondel L. Smith and Son South, Oklahoma City).

Published in The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sunday, February 28, 2016, Page 22A.

Randall Scott Davis was born on June 28, 1970, in Oklahoma City to Ernest (Bullet) Davis and Sherry Hand and departed his life on Friday, February 26, 2016, at 5:45pm.

Randy enjoyed people and was always there to lend a helping hand: young or old, it didn’t matter to Randy. He enjoyed repairing things or just lending an ear. When Randy was in his early twenties, he went to work for Orion Operating as maintenance supervisor and remained there until his health problems could no longer support his need to help other people.

Randy met the love of his life in April, 1997. After a long trial period, Randy and Vonnie were married on May 10, 2008. Vonnie brought three small children into the relationship and Randy accepted them as his own. He loved and raised them, and helped them mature into caring and responsible adults. They were the pride of his life.

Randy leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Carole Yvonne Banks Davis; two sons, David Hunt and Christopher Elzie, both of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Kathy (Scott) King of Healdton, OK; five grandchildren, Sadavia Hunt, Jaylin Hunt and Keyni Anderson of Michigan City, Indiana, Kellen King and Karson King of Healdton, Ok.; his parents, Ernest Davis and Sherry Hand; one sister, Kim Davis; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Pearl Davis, A.C. Archer and Irma Wilson, and one brother, Samuel Davis.

Service Monday, February 29th, 2016, 11:00am, Officiating Pastor Jason McGuire, at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary South Colonial Chapel, 6934 S. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
