After graduating from Straughn School, Syble worked for Lykes Pasco in Dade City, Florida for 26 years, first in the personnel office and later as an executive assistant, before returning to Alabama. She later worked as a courier for Rosch/Lab Corp for 10 years until her retirement. Syble was an active servant in her church and enjoyed volunteering at the Christian Service Center and sewing in her spare time.
