Florence E. Decker, age 94, of Kellnersville, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living in Manitowoc.
The former Florence Yohanek was born on August 23, 1921 in the town of Franklin, daughter of the late Henry and Agnes (Dvorak) Yohanek. She attended schools in the local area. Florence married William G. Decker Sr. on September 30, 1941. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2005. She worked the family farm with her husband for 22 years. Florence was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville and the Rosary Society. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and word find books.
Florence is survived by her three children: Kathryn (Don) Beyer, Luxemburg; Bill "Whistle" (Judy) Decker Jr., Reifs Mills; Marvin (Jane) Decker, Two Rivers; eight grandchildren: Josie (Derek) Leist; Donnie (Sue) Beyer; Rick (Stephanie) Beyer; Scott (Heather) Beyer; Mike (Chrystal) Beyer; Roxie (Lee) Zellner; Jody (Greg) Griep; Amy Beyer and her fiancé: Paul Fruzyna; four step grandchildren: Troy (Brenda) Kvitek; Becky (Jim) Garber; Sara (Derrick) Fels; Dominic Fels; eighteen great-grandchildren: Brock Beyer; Lindsay Beyer; Karley Beyer; Jensen Beyer; Paige Beyer; Morgan Beyer; Zack (Amber) Zellner; Tyler Zellner; Brice Zellner; Brandon Griep; Jordan (Alexus) Griep; Ali Griep; Kaylee Griep; Mason Lukes; Caden Lukes; William Leist; Alivia Beyer; Owen Beyer; six step great-grandchildren: Mike Pelnar; Bradley Garber; Emily Garber; Kelsey Fels; Kattie Fels; Kallie Fels; one sister; Ida Slager, Kellnersville; one sister-in-law: Bernadine Decker, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry (Agnes) Yohanek; her husband: William G. Decker Sr.; one sister: Helen Yohanek; two brothers-in-law: Robert Slager; Edwin "Fuzzy" Decker.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 29, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 522 Tower Avenue, Kellnersville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
