H. Michael Baton,of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 24th, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Hunt) Baton for 38 years.

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, he was the son of the late William and Marie (Faella) Baton.

Raising his children with his wife, they enjoyed snowmobiling, boating and family vacations. In recent years, he enjoyed camping with family and friends, and recently rediscovered playing the guitar. Mike will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tracie Moretti and three grandchildren, Shane, Sara and Lily, of St. Petersburg, FL; his sons Nicholas Moretti and wife Jennifer of East Greenwich, and Kent Baton and wife Stephanie, of Providence; and brothers, Bill Baton of Annapolis, MD and Bob Blinn of Chicopee, MA.

A memorial service was held at the South Kingstown Elks Lodge, 60 Belmont Ave, South Kingstown on Sunday, March 6th, followed by a luncheon and celebration of Mike's life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home & Hospice care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
