Pauline “Polly” Leckbee, age 69, of Quincy, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2:33 am in her home surrounded by her family.
Polly was born September 16, 1946 in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Charles E.and Wilma O. Mayfield Robertson. She married Danny L. Leckbee on May 15, 1968 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2004.
Polly was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. She enjoyed playing dice and going to the V.F.W. with her buddies at 7th and Payson. Polly also liked puzzles, and she was very good at them. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will always be remembered as a loving and kind mother and grandma.
Survivors include: four children, Kip Robertson, Michele Leckbee, D.J. Leckbee, and Danny Lee Leckbee, II, all of Quincy; a stepdaughter, Lisa (Ron) Meyers of Payson, IL; four grandchildren, Evan and Cory Leckbee of Quincy, and Ryan and Cobi Meyers of Payson, IL; a great grandchild; three sisters, Nancy Breuer of Quincy, Mary Masterson of AZ, and Sally Parkhill of CO; three brothers, Raymond Robertson of Quincy; and Bill and James McGraw; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Polly was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Monty and Butch Robertson, and three sisters, Sandy White, Janet Fielding, and Joan Williams.
