Sharon Lee James, 80, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at the Spirit Mountain Hospice in Cody.

Born September 20, 1935 in Gebo, WY, she was one of seven children of Arthur and Sadie (Peoples) Gossens. She graduated from Thermopolis High School in 1953.

After dating for three years, Sharon married Robert “Bob” Russell James, November 3, 1955. The couple resided in Cody from 1959 to 1993 then returned to Thermopolis. In 2009 they moved to Cody to be near their family.

Sharon loved playing the piano, singing, camping and going to the movies. She never met a child she did not love. When she lost her sight, she enjoyed going for drives with Bob and visiting the Senior Citizen Center, as well as delivering Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Risen Son Southern Baptist Church. She adored her three grandchildren, Tasha, Clerissa, and Sean, as well as her two great grandchildren, Mary and Aspen.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Art and Sadie; brother, Art Jr.; sister, Patty; nieces, Tina, Sarah, and Sarah Ann, and nephews, Jimmy and Eric. She leaves behind (with much love) her soul mate, Bob; sons, Robert (Rose) and Clint (Melinda) James, all of Cody; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Gossens, Farmington, NM; sisters, Jerry Sheridan and Gloria Fisher, both of Thermopolis, Shelia (Jerry D) Redding, Billings, MT and numerous nieces and nephews.
