Florence Marie Bowers 1920 ~ 2005 Florence Marie Bowers, beloved aunt, sister, and friend passed away July 15, 2005 of natural causes. Marie was born August 26, 1920 to Ether Bowers and Marietta Pay Bowers. She was the baby girl with four older brothers. She loved children, horses, dogs and spoiled them all.
Marie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved being a primary teacher. While she was still able to drive she went to the temple often and did genealogy work. She worked over 25 years at the LDS Hospital in the Central Service and retired from there. Marie never married; however, she raised a niece, Belva; and a nephew, Don. She took turns living with her brother's family and when it became her youngest brother's turn she stayed with this family from then on. She loved her nieces and nephews and they all loved her. Many of her family were with her when she went to join her parents and brothers. She is survived by two brothers, Melvin Trudy) Bowers, Sparks, NV, Jacob (Dora) Bowers, West Jordan, Utah; and her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James and Wallace; sister-in-law, Doris; and niece, Belva Blackett. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2005, 11 a.m. at the West Jordan 21st Ward, 7511 South 2700 West. Friends and family may call 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi, Utah. A special thanks to the staff at Bennion Care Center, for the loving care over the last 10 months.
