Mrs. Susan B. Nickell --

Mrs. Susan Bell Nickell, a former society editor for the Daily Press prior to her retirementin the mid-forties, died April 15 in the Parkside Nursing Home in Denver.

Born in March 1883 in Lake City, she was the daughter of Hon. John C. and Susan Elizabeth (Abernathy) Bell. When she was an infant, the family moved to Montrose, where she attended school. She received her advanced education in Washington, D. C., where her father was a member of Congress.

The only near relative surviving is a niece, Mrs. R. S. (Betty) Farr of Santa Monica, California, who with her son, Dick, a cadet at West Point, and daughter, Debra, had visited her recently. Her sister, Mrs. John L. (Ethel) Stivers, died March 4, 1965.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Mausoleum Chapel, Fairmont Cemetery in Denver, the time to be announced.
