Thelma L. Arnold, 87 , a resident of Manor Care Health Services, Chambersburg, and formerly of 1410 9 Buchanan Trail West, Mercersburg, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 1997 at the nursing home. She had been a resident there since March 21, 1994. Born April 18, 1909 in Welsh Run, she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Emma Niswander
Angle. She had been employed at the J Shoeneman Co. clothing factory in Chambersburg for a number of years. Mrs. Arnold was a member of Ebenezer United Brethren Church,
Greencastle. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Floyd E. Arnold, also a Manor Care resident, one daughter,
Betty A. Bridendolph of Mercersburg, two sisters, M. Elizabeth Yeager of State Line and Adealine D. Wenger of St. Thomas, three brothers, Lester E. Angle of Mercersburg, H. Elmo Angle of Waynesboro, and Glenn E. Angle of Chambersburg; one granddaughter; and
two great-granadaughters. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg, with the Rev. Garry L. Culler officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
