ARTHUR M. ROBINSON

Arthur M. Robinson, 80, longtime York produce man and volunteer fireman, died Wednesday at the Blue Valley Rest Home in Hebron where he had lived for the past five years.

Born at Utica August 4, 1885, he moved to York at an early age. He joined the York Fire Department as a volunteer in 1910. Until retirement he owned and operated a produce business which he opened in York in 1940. Mr. Robinson was a Mason and had been awarded his 50-year pin.

On December 7, 1922, Mr. Robinson married Vera Edith Christ of York. Mrs. Robinson died September 7, 1964.

Surviving are one son, Robert Robinson of Geneva; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Betty) Watson of Lincoln; four grandchildren, and one brother, George Robinson of York. His parents, wife, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

A Masonic funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Church of York. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The body is at Metz Mortuary.
