Carl L. Paire, 86, of Vernon, beloved husband of the late Glenna (Clark) Paire, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2016. Born in Keene, NH, the son of the late Peter and Gladys (Corey) Paire, he grew up and lived in Keene, NH before moving to Vernon over 58 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Carl was a security guard at Rockville General Hospital for many years. He was a member of the Hartford Full Gospel Church. He was an avid fisherman who loved trout fishing, camping and being in the outdoors. He is survived by his son, Carl "Lenny" Paire, Jr. and his wife Stacy of Littleton, NH; seven grandchildren, Todd, Craig and Christopher Sherman, Heather Lee, and Nicholas, Craig and Scott Paire; two great grandchildren, Owen and Annabella Lee; a brother, Francis Provost of Spokane, WA; an "adopted" daughter, Deborah Arnold and her husband Hercules Arnold, Jr. of Ellington and their eight children and sixteen grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Carl was also predeceased by his daughter, Karen Sherman. His family will receive friends for calling hours on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon with a funeral service at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville.
