Robert "Bob"' Lindquist July 4, 1926 - February 26, 2016 Rancho Bernardo Robert "Bob" Lindquist, 89, passed away on February 26, 2016. Son of the late Fred and E. Lura Lindquist. He served in the US Navy during WWII . He was trained as a Radioman. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1950, with Honors, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. He was married to Suzanne "Sue" Lindquist for 65 years. He worked as a Project Manager for AMOCO Chemical Corp for 33 years. His favorite pastime was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob also enjoyed woodworking, woodcarving, building ship models, and reading.Bob and his wife Sue lived in the Chicago area for 36 years. They retired to Rancho Bernardo, in 1986, to be near their children and grandchildren. He is survived by daughter Karen Lindquist-Barnhart (son-in-law Kevin Barnhart), son Rob Lindquist and grandchildren: Daniel Barnhart, Allison Gray, Ryan Barnhart, Emily Lindquist. Preceded in death by daughter Nancy Lindquist-Duszynski and wife Sue Lindquist. A private family memorial service will take place on March 5, 2016. Memorial donations to American Cancer Society or National Alzheimer Association
