Mrs. Helen D. Maust, 84, of Somerset died Nov. 30, 1972 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born on Aug. 12, 1888 in Fairhope, a daughter of the late Thomas Lewis and Anna (Emerick) Emert. Survived by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Maust, and these children: Mrs. Ross (Leona) Hendershot of Berlin; Mrs. William (Viola) Farbaugh of Johnstown; Harry B. of Somerset; Woodrow B. of Hampton Roads, Va., Mrs. Madeline Flook of McLean, Va.; Mrs. Geraldene Kretz of Johnstown; Mrs. George (Blanche) Holtz of Norwalk, Ohio; Reon A. of Tarpin Springs, Fla.; Floyd R. of Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Charles (Betty) Foust of Somerset; Mrs. Lois June Mason of Philadelphia; 40 grandchildren; and 39 great grandchildren. Survived by these brothers and sister: Eugene and Alvin Emerick, both of Jennerstown; and Mrs. Minnie May Miller of Johnstown. Preceded in death by one brother and seven sisters. Member of Somerset Church of God. Death ended a marriage of 62 years. Friends are being received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home until noon Saturday. Remains will lie in state in Somerset Church of God from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Flavis Burroughs officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
