Ruth came to the Okanogan Valley over 65 years ago. She married Thomas Rex Corum in November of 1940. They settled in Tonasket and raised four children. They operated a grocery store and ran an apple orchard. She was secretary to the Tonasket Superintendent of Schools for over 20 years. Ruth married Woody Ball in 1987 and enjoyed an adventure filled retirement, traveling the US and Canada. Ruth was a member of the Tonasket Community Church, serving in various capacities as a longtime choir member and Sunday school teacher. She was a Campfire Girl's Leader and a member of the Garden Club.
