Albert A. Anderson, 86, of 114 1.2 Buffalo Street, died at 10:30 pm Saturday in the Franklin Hospital, where he'd been for a month. He had been in ill health for some time. He was born Dec. 19, 1871 in East Brady, son of John and Fannie McGee Anderson.
He worked as the filling station at the corner of 13th and Grant Streets, at General Manifold and Printing Co, for the Pennsylvania Railroad, and as maintenance man at First Evangelical United Brethren Church for 20 years. He was a member of that church, of the Brotherhood Class there, and of the Woodsmen of the World.
On Nov. 20 1900 in New Bethlehem he married Pearl Showers, who survives, with three daughters, Mrs. Basil (Helen) Confort of Rochester, NY, Mrs. Harold (Pauline) Mitchell of Philadelphia, and Thelma Anderson, at home; a brother, Jack Anderson of New Castle; two grandchildren, Mrs. Glenn (Betty Jane) Gilliland of Brockport, NY, and Capt. James A. Jolley of Santakora, CA; and a great-grandchild, Michille Marie Jolley.
Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Burger Funeral Home with his pastor, Dr. B. E. Coleman, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
