Surrounded by loving family, we mourn the passing of the wonderful spirit of Donna Ecoffey.
Born in Valley City, North Dakota, the family moved to California in 1935 settling in Coronado.
Donna graduated from Coronado High, class of 1945. She met and married Navy Lt. Vincent Ecoffey in 1946. Post retirement brought the Ecoffey family back to Coronado then to Chula Vista.
Vince died in 1983 and Donna dedicated the remainder of her life to her family.
Donna is survived by five children: Susan and Janet, Steven, Michael, and Paul; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Donna had six siblings: Ronald, Maurice, Lowell, Dennis, Gary, Annette.
Donna's countless friends will remember her formidable spirit, her passion for life, her concern for others. On this occasion she would doubtlessly say, "I'd rather be playing bingo".
Services will be held Monday, March 19, 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1120 Cuyamaca Ave., Chula Vista. Celebration of life will follow at the Elks Lodge, 901 Elk Lane, Chula Vista.
