Milton E. Maly, age 92, of Larrabee, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, after a brief illness.

Milton was born on June 18, 1922 in the town of Kossuth, to the late Stephen and Clara (Kliment) Maly and was a lifelong area resident. He married Rosella Karman on May 29, 1948 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. Milton and his wife owned and operated a farm that has been in his family since he was a young boy. He and his sons also created a family retreat on his land, which he called "Maly's A-Frame Hide-away" where he spent many happy hours tending to the fish in his ponds and enjoying the annual return of the Canadian geese. He especially enjoyed sharing this beautiful place with family and friends, hosting 35 years of family reunions and other special events.

He loved being on his land, working in the fields, woods, garden, and orchard. He was the happiest when he was outdoors and with his family. When he was younger, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and traveling with his wife. His unique sense of humor is something we will all fondly remember.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosella; four children, Kathy Bernier of Larrabee, John and Pat Maly, and Michael Maly all of Manitowoc, Nancy and Allan Patch of San Diego, CA; six grandchildren: Mark (Marie) Tuma, Steve (Sarah) Tuma, Jennifer Maly, Amy Maly, Alex Patch, and Lauren Patch; four great grandchildren: Ashley (Tim) Henneman, Kyle Tuma, Kaden Tuma, Shawn Tuma; and one great great grandson: Bryce Henneman. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Chuck Bernier; one sister, Ruby (George) Skarka; an infant brother, Irving; and several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, Mishicot. Deacon Bob Wavrunek will officiate at the service, with entombment in the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy. 310, Manitowoc.
