John E. Belanger, 43, of Plank Road, died on Tuesday at Samaritan Hospital under the care of Community Hospice of Rensselaer County.
Survivors include his mother, with whom he resided; a daughter, and a granddaughter, three brothers, two sisters, several half-brothers and half-sisters in Vermont and Massachusetts, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Kenneth W. (Tim) Phillips who died on April 15, 2007.
Cremation will take place at the Gardner Earl Memorial Chapel and Crematorium in Troy. Graveside services will be held in the spring at the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Berlin.
