GRAY - Cleveland Reese Bonner Sr., 84, died Sunday, August 26, 2001, in a local hospital. The family will greet friends from 6:00-9:00p.m. Wednesday, August 29, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Bailey at 275 Riverdale Drive in Macon. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 30, at 11:30a.m. at Ingleside Baptist Church.

Mr. Bonner was born in Carroll County and had lived in Gray for the past forty years. The son of the late Cleveland Hendrix Bonner and Katie Jones Bonner, he was a graduate of Carroll County High School and had attended Mercer University. Mr. Bonner served his country during World War II, serving in the United States Army in the Medical Department. He was the owner of Bonner Instrument Service and was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church, where he taught the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Mr. Bonner was also a member of the Macon Exchange Club and was a Mason.

Mr. Bonner is survived by his wife, Eva Lucille Terry Bonner of Gray; his son, Cleve Bonner Jr. of Macon; his two daughters, Margie Bonner Homan and Marie Bonner Bailey, both of Macon; a sister, Jewell Brown of Gray; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Ingleside Baptist Church Building Fund, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
