Her parents moved to Levittsburg, Ohio where she went to school and met Eddie Piltz. They married in 1939 and had three sons, Ed, Dick and Don. They resided in Warren, Ohio for years where Evelyn worked the assembly line at Ohio Lamp Works (during WWII) & later at Warren G. Harding High School & Trumbull Memorial Hospital as a cafeteria helper. She retired in 1983 and kept in touch with her friends & co-workers from Harding since it was right across the street.
Her husband died in 1964, she never remarried. Evelyn (Louise) traveled extensively with her sons, sisters and nieces both in the U.S. and Europe.
For over 20 years she wintered in Florida with son Don but was always glad to get back to her home in Warren come Spring.
In 2004 she moved to Florida permanently and on October 2nd, 2007 she passed away from natural causes within days of turning 94.
