Services for Lecil Howard Aldrich, age 84, of Urania will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 9, 2006 from the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. P.A. Paul and Rev. Denver McBroom officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks.

Mr. Aldrich was born on September 25, 1921 in Harrell, AR to the union of Clarence Calvin and Bertha Karriker Aldrich and died, Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Golden Age Nursing Center in Jena.

He was a retired maintenance supervisor with Louisiana Pacific Corporation in Urania. He was also a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant in medical division and was awarded numerous medals including the Purple Heart.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years Odell Sellers Aldrich of Urania; his daughters Delores Aldrich Ganey and her husband Larry of Rosenberg, TX and Brenda Aldrich McGee and her husband Dana of Jena; his son Steven H. Aldrich and his wife Barbara of Olla; his grandchildren Scott Ganey and his wife Fie, Todd Ganey and his wife Roxane, Clay Ganey all of Rosenberg, TX, Jay Trahan and his wife Carla of Sharptown, Jennifer "Missi" Harrison and her husband Festus of Epps and Miranda Aldrich and Stevie Aldrich both of Olla; his great grandchildren CiCi and Ryan Ganey, Tyler and Kenzie Ganey, Joshua and Brittany Harrison, Jaycee and Khodee Trahan and Cameron Aldrich and his sister Nora Bell Orr of West Monroe.

Pallbearers will be Jay Trahan, Festus Harrison, Scott Ganey, Todd Ganey, Clay Ganey and Ralph Harris.

Honorary pallbearers are Khodee Trahan, Joshua Harrison, Tyler Ganey, Ryan Ganey and Cameron Aldrich.

Visitation will be Sunday from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Monday from 9:00 AM until time of services at Riser Funeral Home, Hwy 165, Olla.
