He was born April 16, 1914 in Monroe, Utah to Charles J. and Ellen Lind Bohman. Proctor grew up in Monroe where he excelled in sports in high school, earning 11 letters. He went on to BYU and participated in sports there. He joined the Army National Guard and during this time he met and married Beth Bagley of Koosharem, Utah in the Manti Temple. During his six year tour in the Army, he spent two years in India. He retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel. He worked at several different jobs; farmed in Monroe and fed sheep, worked for LDS Church on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, worked for the Atomic Energy Commission and at Hill AFB, then retired from Tooele Army Depot. He loved sports, especially horseshoes, bowling, hunting and fishing. He loved camping with his family which he has done for the past 25 years. He loved to travel and has been in almost all the countries of the world. He has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings as well as being a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple for 20 years. He has been a great loving example and friend to all.
