Albert Lewis Coressel, 85, of Defiance, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance.

Albert was born on June 30, 1930 to Raymond and Mary Mae (Keller) Coressel. On June 24, 1950 he married Dorothy Ann (Gutman) Coressel, who resides in Defiance.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance. He retired from Defiance Precision Products, after 45 years of service. He coached Little League baseball in the 60's and 70's for Baker Schindler. He enjoyed his family, camping, farming, baseball, and carpentry.

Albert will be sadly missed by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Coressel, children; Mary Jane Schroeder of Sherwood, Albert Michael (Linda) Coressel, Steven (Cindy) Coressel, Kenny Coressel, Nancy Gray, Tom Coressel, and Barb Barta, all of Defiance, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, brother Ralph (Peg) Coressel of Defiance, and sister Betty DeVita of Lima, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Don Coressel.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance, with a Vigil Service at 2:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Defiance, with Fr. Randy Giesige officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
