Gene proudly served as a Civil Service employee with the Department of Defense for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Featherston, mother, JoAnna Featherston, brother, C.W. Featherston, sisters, Fanny Elizabeth Covington and Mable Leona Delaney. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Featherstone; son, Ed Featherstone, Jr.; daughter, Lynn Kloss and husband Todd Kloss; granddaughter, Taylor Lynn Kloss and grandson, Travis Todd Kloss; brother, John Lewis Featherston & wife Shirley Featherston; sister-in-law, Louise Featherston; brother-in-law, Terrell Delaney; brother-in-law, Glenn Arnold & wife, Brenda Gayle Arnold; sister-in-law, JoAnn St Ana along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 15, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 16, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services and interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the First Baptist Church of Universal City. Arrangements with: Schertz Funeral Home.
