Louis Povich, 70, of North Main Street, Washington, died Saturday, January 8, 1994, in his home.
He was born November 8, 1923, in Waynesburg, a son of John and Frances Puskarish.
Mr. Povich worked for many years as a welder in upstate New York. He was Catholic and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945, when he received the American Campaign Medal, Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
Surviving are two brothers, Albert Povich of Jefferson and George Povich of Youngstown, Ohio; one sister, Julia Lobozzo of Washington; three nieces, Vicki Lobozzo of Washington, Yvonne Sudol of New Jersey and Vivian Palo of California.
Deceased are one sister, Rose Hughes; and one brother, Charles Povich.
