Mrs. Jennie E. Adams, widow of Robert A. Adams, Carlisle, died at 11:15 o'clock Tuesday after a protracted illness. Had she lived until Thursday of next week, August 11, she would have been 77 years old. Mrs Adams was the widow of Robert A. Adams and for many years was a citizen of South Middleton Township and a well known Carlisle market attendant. Mrs. Adams was a loving christian mother, a woman of kindly disposition and had a host of friends. She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Adams is survived by the following children: Mrs. John Spangler, Philadelphia; Mrs. William Myers, Centerville; Elmer, of Hickorytown; Mrs. Albert D. Kutz, Carlisle; Mrs. Henry K. Peffer, Trenton, N. J.; Mervin Adams, Carlisle; Mrs. Charles Derick, Shippensburg; F. T. Adams, and Ray A. Adams, Carlisle. Two sisters and a brother also survive: Mrs. Annie Brown, Carlisle; Mrs. Rebecca Barton, Querry, Pa., and Scott Long, of North Dakota.
