Ruby was born in Parker County on March 11, 1923 to William Everett Towles and Minnie Vernoica Haney.
She lived in Weatherford all her life, and worked for Hamilton Avnet for 10 years in Hurst. She was a Pentecostal.
Preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, H.A. Jacobs; daughter, Nett (Jeanette) Holt; grandson, Shane Holt; brother and sister-in-law, William D. and Era Towles; sister and brother-in-law, Sammie Ruth and Elvis Montgomery; and sister-in-law, Betty Vargas.
