Summer was born January 21, 1998 the daughter of Larry Pitner of Beloit and Alhoma and Jeff Craig of New Springfield. She was a third grade student at West Branch Elementary School and was a member of the Old North Church and its A.W.A.N.A. youth group. She played baseball and loved the ocean, swimming, horses and especially elephants.
Besides her parents, Summer leaves her sister Alexxa at home, and half brother and sister Brandon and Bryanna Craig. She also leaves three aunts, three uncles, and three cousins as well as paternal grandparents Larry and Cindy Pitner of Salem, maternal grandparents Dean and Susan Albert of Beloit, paternal great-grandmother Sylvia Pitner of Fairview, paternal great-grandparents Bill and Gladys Goughenour of Columbiana and maternal great-grandmother Jean Hall of Bethesda, Ohio.
