Bro. Jack "Brother Jack" Sellers, 78, went to his heavenly home on March 14, 2016 after a long illness. The support of his family and his strong faith in God helped him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Wahalak Baptist Church. Interment will be in Twin Cemetery in Wahalak, MS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon, MS is in charge of services.

Jack was born to the late Sylvester and Quero (Sweetie) Sellers, in Rawls Springs, MS on June 8, 1937. He grew up as part of a large family in the Rawls Springs and Hattiesburg areas. After graduating from high school he served in the Marine Corps. In 1957 Jack married the love of his life, Juanita Jones Sellers, then had a large family of his own. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Sellers was involved in the Southern Baptist Church and ministries for many years, and he loved to study the Bible. He was an active church member, taught Bible classes, and was pastor to churches in Wahalak, Blackwater, Macon, and Brooksville.

Those left to mourn are his wife; Juanita Sellers of Wahalak, MS; daughters, Jacki Harris of Meridian, MS, Ann Maddox of Jackson, MS; Donna Rogers of Seattle, WA, sons; Eddie Sellers of Scooba, MS and Chuck Sellers of Shuqualak, MS; sister, Nonnie Spiers of Biloxi, MS and brother, George Sellers of Hattiesburg, MS; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
