Eugene P. Stallcop
Eugene P. Stallcop, 81, of Nampa, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, having passed away at a Nampa care center on Friday, April 23, 1999.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Pastor Daniel Ketchum and Pastor Robert Manley will officiate. A private family burial will precede the services at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Eugene P. Stallcop was born Nov. 26, 1917, at Havre, Mont., the son of Halcie and Harriet Stallcop. He was raised on a dry land farm, 40 miles northwest of Havre in the Simpson community. He attended a country school, grades 1-8. He attended and graduated from Havre High School in 1937.
He married his high school sweetheart, Anne Tangmo, on Jan. 20, 1941. He worked for a creamery and the railroad until World War II. In 1943, with wife and baby, they moved back to the Simpson farm to help his father. In 1946 he owned and operated the Hi-Line Beverage plant, bottling Pepsi-Cola and soft drinks. In 1965 he sold the Pepsi plant and returned to farming until his retirement in 1972. He and Anne moved to Nampa in 1977. He enjoyed his family and was proud of their accomplishments.
His church was a great part of his life. He was active as a board member, church treasurer and an adult Bible teacher for 35 years. He was a member of College Church of the Nazarene. He loved reading and music. He played the guitar, key accordion, and harmonica. He sang and whistled while he worked and found time to hunt and fish. He had a great sense of humor, was enterprising and versatile, an excellent mechanic and welder.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Anne Stallcop of Nampa; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Marvin and Judy Stallcop; and Paul and Becky Stallcop, all of Nampa; daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Robert Bolen of Nampa; six grandchildren, Gregg Stallcop, LeAnn and her husband, Craig Stensgaard, all of Nampa, Athena Stallcop of Seattle, Wash., Seth Stallcop of Pocatello, Jim Cannon of Boise, and Kerri and her husband, Kelly Smith in Nevada; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Emmett Stallcop of Whitefish, Mont., and Elbert Stallcop of Hamilton, Mont.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sylvia and Bob Thompson of Orange, Texas, and Myrtle and Curtis Rhodes of Alma, Ark.; and a number of nieces, nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4696 Overland Road, Boise 83705; or to Northwest Nazarene College, for the D.E.
