Peter H. Albertson. Committed by Robt C. Clark Judge of Sacramento Co. Sept. 18th 1865. Age forty three; native of Norway; single; was last from Massachusetts; has been in the State fifteen years. The evidence of insanity is, general erratic conduct, neglect for several months past to provide for himself, and his general appearance. He was arrested for breaking into a neighbors house. He has been looked upon as slightly insane for some two or three years; disease supposed to be increasing. He is considered by his neighbors unfit to be at large; might destroy property or life. He appears to bear inimity to those who have been most kind to him. For many months past he has kept very much secluded and at times professes to commune with spirits; has been temperate so far as known; has not suffered from disease or injury; no change in health since the attack; cause of insanity, masturbation; class, mania. Admitted September 20th 1865. Has no property. Died April 19th 1870 of Hydrothorax (excessive fluid in the pleural cavity).
