Marion Ivan Bell, 82, of Rock Island, IL, died at home, Sept. 28, 2006, with his family at his side. His Memorial Service will be Tuesday, 12:30 p. m., Oct. 3, 2006 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Rock Island, IL, with Rev. Michael Schaab officiating. Marion was born April 3, 1924, in Mercer, Missouri, to Ivan and Emma (Lowry) Bell. He married Mildred Marie Jorgens, May 17, 1947 in Davenport, IA. He was a technical illustrator for numerous advertising agencies in the Quad City area, for 48 years. He retired in 1998. Marion was a WWII Army Veteran, member of St. Pius Catholic Church, Rock Island, and of Rock River Rangers Black Powder Club. He is survived by his wife Mildred, children, John W. (Catherine) Bell, Stafford, VA, Katherine A. (Daryl) Trackwell, Brunswick, GA, David O. (Janel) Bell, Columbia, SC, Jerry D. Bell, Chicago, IL, Peggy S. (Dale) Wilson, Rock Island, IL, Donald R. Bell, Moline, IL, Janice L. (Garry) Neels, Brunswick, GA, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Lucille Arp, 2 nieces, paternal aunt, Anna Bell Williams, San Diego, CA, cousin, Dorothy Rogers, Nashville, TN and his dearest friend, Mike Grissom. He is preceded in death by his parents, paternal aunt, Helen Phillips and grandson, Bryan Bell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Heartland Hospice or the American Lung Association in remembrance of him.
