His father, Henry M., had left Alabama and is found in Pontotoc, Mississippi State Census by 1845. His father was selling land in 1837 and 1839 in Talladega, Alabama. This William (possibly middle name is David?) can be found in the 1840 census living next to his father in Talladega, Alabama. The census shows a wife and one male under 5 years. The marriage record shows his name as William D. Funderburg married Malinda Moore on 26 July 1838 in Talladega County, Alabama.(Source:familysearch.org). I have found on FamilySearch.org two marriage sources for William D/Melinda Moore in Talladega County, one when they applied for the license on 16 July 1838 and then ten days later when they married on 26, July 1838. NOTE: In the same book it shows a marriage between Martha Moore and Marshall Washburn on Nov 1 1837. I believe this to be a sister to Malinda)
William and Malinda name one son William and one son David. I believe he left Alabama with his parents on their way to Texas as their daughter was born in Texas (1850 census of Hopkins Co,. Tx.) . If this is correct, he and Malinda both died in Texas or on their way to Texas sometime in 1849 or prior to the 1850 census in Hopkins County, Texas.
