William V. Adler, 79, died Monday at Towne House Health Care Center. A lifelong Fort Wayne resident, he retired in 1990 after 45 years as a certified life underwriter for Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis; three daughters, Janet Meyers of Fort Wayne, Adele Lowe of New Orleans, La., and Marjorie Bonaker of Bradenton, Fla.; two sisters, Helen A. Kilcoin and Gertrude E. Adler, both of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Calling from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Boy Scouts of America.
