Ernest (Ernie) R. Delaney, 91, of East Syracuse, passed away Sunday. Ernie was a loving husband and the best father any child could ever have. He had a great sense of humor, always loved a good joke and loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed playing cards with "his girlfriends" at his apartment complex. Dad, you have left a hole in our hearts. We will always love and miss you. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Clara. Ernie is survived by his son, John (Carol) Forgette; three daughters, Ann Marino, Louise (Roger) Gafner and Marie Marino; two sisters, Gilbette Kaulbeck and Charlotte (Burt) Luther, 17 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday from 10:30 a.m. to noon with services to follow. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088-3148.
