Gene was united into marriage with Etta Hohman on June 25, 1949 in Clarksburg, MO. He served his country proudly by serving in the United States Army. Gene spent his working days operating a bull dozer for Clarkson Construction for over twenty years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blue Springs, MO. Gene enjoyed carving leather, traveling west, watching bull riding, NASCAR, and the Kansas City Royals. His greatest enjoyment came from being around his family and friends.
Survivors include son, Allen Clark and wife Kimberly of Maricopa, AZ; daughter, Debra Buck and husband Robert of Lenexa, KS; sister, LaVerne Bressler of O'Fallen, MO; grandchildren, Kathryn Buck, Matthew Clark, and Madison Clark. He is preceded in death by his wife, Etta; parents, Grover and Lydia; sister, LaVera Seifert.
The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2016 at the Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St, Blue Springs, MO. Funeral service will follow the visitation starting at 12:00 p.m., at the chapel. Burial with full military honors will following immediately at the Blue Springs Cemetery.
